Job Summary
The Director of Physical Distribution serves as a leader within the Consumer Bank and is responsible for development and execution of branch and ATM distribution strategy for a ~1,000 branch and ~1,300 ATM network spanning 15 states. This role is primarily responsible for leading a team of professionals in support of the Consumer Bank's priorities and objectives by creating/executing on a physical distribution strategy including branch and ATM network expansion, assessing fit of acquisition targets, right-placement and closure of branch and ATM sites, branch site size, branch and ATM site appearance and branch and ATM functionality while ensuring compliance with all related regulatory requirements.

The Physical Distribution Director must effectively manage, coach, develop and guide the team to recommend and execute on data-based solutions to ensure the group meets and exceed expectations. This role will function as a leader, strategic advisor, and credible thought partner to senior/executive level business partners regarding physical distribution leveraging knowledge of industry best practices and trends. Additionally, the Physical Distribution Director will successfully partner with related support teams (Corporate Real Estate, Technology, Branch Operations, Branch Network) and third-party vendors to share a compelling vision and action plan around physical distribution providing the framework for broader distribution actions.

Responsibilities
  • Drives development and execution of branch and ATM distribution strategy for a physical network spanning fifteen states including network expansion, assessing distribution fit of acquisition targets, relocation and closure of sites, site size, site appearance and functionality
  • Maintains and shares knowledge of distribution-related regulatory requirements from the OCC, FDIC and Federal Reserve and ensures that all physical distribution actions comply
  • Leads De Novo execution strategy, launch and support
  • Leads, coaches, and develops cross-functional team to provide top-class execution and simplification of physical distribution actions that meet Consumer Bank business needs
  • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with field leadership; consistently and proactively collaborates to combine field insights to data/analytics to create robust recommendations
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to update and maintain physical distribution market plans that align with Consumer Bank business objectives
  • Partners with Procurement to draft, negotiate and finalize third-party vendor contracts
  • Drives the performance of third-party vendors to achieve and exceed business objectives
  • Actively plans for and manages ATM channel P&L and a multi-million dollar annual capital budget including branch expansion, branch refresh and ATM
  • Provides thought leadership and strategic direction with other business leaders and working groups
  • Stays on top of industry trends and develops external network to shape internal methodologies and strategies
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance, or related field (required) or
  • Master's Degree MBA (preferred)


Experience Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years Leadership role demonstrating the ability to lead, coach, and inspire individuals to achieve business performance goals (required)
  • A minimum of 7 years demonstrated ability to lead teams in developing, communicating, and executing on physical distribution/market planning strategies combining both data/analytics and field insights (required) and
  • A minimum of 7 years experience developing and executing on distribution strategies within a retail environment (preferred)
  • Proven program and project management experience leading cross-functional teams (required)
  • Expertise and experience in leading De Novo launches including support strategies and resources (required)
  • Experience translating data/analytics into clear narratives and recommendations for senior level executives (C-suite level) (required)
  • Demonstrated passion for process improvement with ability to drive execution (required)
  • Proven experience in managing line of business financials and capital budgets (required)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
