Starting Salary: BX19, $100,776/year

The Director of Maintenance Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing large scale, twenty-four hour vehicle maintenance and repair operations in multiple fleet management service garages, and performs related duties as required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Review open work orders to determine work output at assigned garages.
• Checks with contractors for estimated return time vehicles in for repair.
• Reviews Vendor Estimate forms for approval.
• Approves tool requests.
• Reviews schedule maintenance percentage completed.
• Evaluates assigned managers.
• Write and checks specifications for vehicle maintenance or vehicle maintenance support contracts.
• Checks and maintains vehicle inventory.
• Checks and responds to emails and other forms of communication involved in vehicle maintenance.
• Schedules, attends and facilitates meetings to keep subordinate managers informed of coming activities.
• All other duties as assigned

Days: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8:30AM - 4:30PM

Qualifications
• Nine (9) years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive, trucking or heavy duty off-road equipment, of which three (3) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR
• Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Automotive Management or a directly related field, plus seven (7) years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive, trucking or heavy duty off-road equipment, of which three (3) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR
• Successfully completed and received certification from an accredited training program in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Automotive Management or a directly related field, plus seven (7) years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive, trucking or heavy duty off-road equipment, of which three (3) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Automotive Management or a directly related field, plus five (5) years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive, trucking or heavy duty off-road equipment, of which three (3) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, OR
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Automotive Management or a directly related field, plus four (4) years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive, trucking or heavy duty off-road equipment, of which three (3) years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position
• A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required

DESIRED SKILLS

Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience at the managerial level

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
