Job Description

The Director of Contracts is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the capture and execution of strategic opportunities. This position requires a highly organized candidate with demonstrated and strong leadership, management, and communication skills. The selected candidate must have experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry, as well as having direct work experience within a Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) business.

This role will require 25% of travel, including both domestic and international.

Responsibilities:
  • Guide, direct, and evaluate the activities of Contract personnel at various labor grades.
  • Support the growth and development of the next generation Contracts managers and leaders.
  • Oversee proposal activities, such as proposal preparation and submittal, contracting strategy and risk mitigation, teaming strategies, and approvals.
  • Responsible for conducting and coordinating proposal reviews, pre-approval of strategic alliances, and management of other business agreements within the Business Area, Sector, and Corporate.
  • Interface and manage the relationships with key commercial and government contracting and procurement officials.
  • Implementation and maintenance of Contracts policies and procedures, including ensuring adequate processes are in place to ensure compliance.
  • Support acquisition, due diligence, and integration activities.
  • Work with other functions to develop strategies for new business opportunities.

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of travel, including both domestic and international
  • Experience in Commercial, International, and US Government Contracting

  • Experience in Chemical Manufacturing
