This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid or onsite format.

The Electronic Systems (ES) Sector's Business Development function is seeking a Director for US Exports. This position will be based out of the Washington DC area and will support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) exports across all ES Business Areas. The selected candidate will bring significant experience developing and maturing FMS and DCS export opportunities through close collaboration with US government stakeholders. While the position will report to the VP for Customer Relationships and Advocacy (CR&A), it will support international opportunities across the sector and maintain a close alignment with the VP of International Business Development for ES.

Specific Activities Include:
  • Develop and maintain an International Government Relations stakeholder plan for the ES Sector
  • Foster working-level relationships with USG Security Assistance organizations, including but not limited to:
  • Service Implementing Agencies, with desired emphasis on Army and Navy International programs
  • Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA)
  • Commerce Department, Advocacy Center
  • Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA)
  • Department of State Pol-Mil Regional Security Arms Transfers (PM/RSAT)
  • Assist and advise ES Business Areas to navigate the Technology Security and Foreign Disclosure (TSFD) approval process
  • Gain market intelligence and promote USG advocacy for ES exports
  • Monitor and promote the timely staffing of Letters of Request (LORs) within the USG

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 10+ years of experience working within relevant Security Cooperation organizations of the USG, with desired experience within DASA(DEC), NIPO, DSCA, or DTSA
  • Expertise in the implementation of FMS and DCS programs
  • Demonstrated success to secure export approval of advance defense technologies via the USG TSFD process
  • Written and oral communication skills with experience presenting at senior levels
  • Proven track record of effective and efficient stakeholder management
  • US Citizen
  • Current DoD Clearance (Secret)
