SUMMARY

The Director of Corporate Relations will advance the philanthropic mission of Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation by developing and executing focused integrated cause related marketing programs and corporate sponsorships that drive baseline giving. He/she will be responsible for coordinating messaging and strategic communications through direct marketing to multiple audiences.

Position Specific Role Responsibilities

Engages, acquires, retains and upgrades corporate donors and cause related marketing partners to drive baseline giving revenue, creating and executing strategies to engage current supporters and prospects.

Develops and executes direct mail, web marketing, social media and collateral materials using both traditional and innovative methods to generate revenue.

Leverages use of Foundation website, increases use of social media and e-communications to retain and upgrade existing corporate donors and cause related marketing partners and secures new corporate donors and cause related marketing partners.

Adheres to all relevant laws and regulations and institutional polices for cause related marketing and corporate sponsorship and development and crafts policies on cause related marketing where necessary.

Works closely with the Philanthropic Events team to identify corporate sponsorship opportunities and institutional funding needs, and ensures all staff solicitations for sponsorship are coordinated.

Monitors, evaluates and assesses ROI related to cause related marketing and corporate sponsorship solicitations.

Utilizes analytical techniques to identify corporate segments and develop appropriate contact strategies for engagement and recruitment of cause related marketing partners and corporate sponsors.

Works closely with communications teams to develop user-friendly website capabilities to support cause related marketing efforts, including comprehensive event and cause related marketing pages reinforced with push technology and social media tools.

Coordinates with communications teams to ensure consistent branding, messaging and operational procedures.

Possesses strong internal and external relationship building skills.

Values cultural diversity and other individual differences in the workforce.

Demonstrates support for the mission, values and goals of the organization through behaviors that are consistent with CT Children's standards.

Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Trains, prepares and supervises volunteers, including current and former patients and patient families, ahead of cause related marketing events and activities in which they participate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in marketing communications, direct marketing, or corporate sponsorship and development.

Experience Preferred: Experience in development marketing preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Techniques and practices of marketing, including individual and corporate marketing Data mining and leveraging web, e-mail and social media for direct marketing, e-commerce and fundraising purposes
SKILLS:
