Overview

The Director, Commercial Effectiveness is a senior leader within the Commercial Effectiveness organization, responsible for translating enterprise commercial strategy into scalable execution standards that drive performance across regions and markets. This role partners closely with GTM Strategy, Commercial Operations, Sales Leadership, and key corporate stakeholders to ensure consistent planning, execution, and performance management across the commercial ecosystem.

The Director will lead initiatives that connect performance management, planning processes, and field execution-ensuring that priorities are clear, execution is aligned, and outcomes are measurable. This role plays a critical leadership function in establishing governance, operating rhythms, and best practices that enable regions and markets to execute effectively while maintaining enterprise consistency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise Commercial Effectiveness initiatives that align strategy, planning, incentives, tools, and field execution
  • Translate commercial and supplier priorities into clear execution standards, KPIs, and success metrics
  • Serve as a strategic partner to regional and market leadership, enabling strong execution through structure, clarity, and insight
  • Act as an execution control point across planning, performance management, and commercial operations
  • Establish and maintain commercial planning governance, operating cadences, and execution frameworks
  • Ensure consistent adoption of planning processes, execution standards, and performance management practices across regions
  • Identify execution risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect commercial outcomes
  • Oversee development and use of performance measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting
  • Enable sales and commercial leaders with actionable insights that inform decision-making and execution
  • Drive alignment between incentives, targets, and desired commercial behaviors
  • Ensure performance insights are translated into clear actions for regions and markets
  • Partner closely with Sales, Commercial Operations, Supplier Strategy, and Market and Region teams
  • Lead change management efforts tied to new processes, tools, or execution standards
  • Support executive leadership with structured problem-solving, recommendations, and decision support
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and scale best practices
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Effectiveness professionals
  • Set clear expectations, prioritize work, and ensure high-quality output across multiple initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Seven (7)+ years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, analytical, or commercial roles
  • Strong analytical, communication, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
