Responsibilities

The Director, Care Technology & Engagement provides strategic leadership for care technology and resident engagement solutions that support resident outcomes, operational efficiency, and business performance. This role partners with clinical, operational, IT, and vendor teams to implement, optimize, and sustain reliable, compliant, and scalable technology solutions.
  • Develop and lead the strategy for care technology and resident engagement solutions, translating business objectives into technology roadmaps and initiatives that enhance resident outcomes, operational excellence, and organizational growth.
  • Provide strategic oversight of care-related technology platforms, including medication management, point-of-care documentation, emergency response systems, resident engagement tools, and other applications critical to care delivery.
  • Serve as the primary business partner connecting operations, care leadership, IT, and external vendors to ensure technology investments align with organizational goals and user needs.
  • Lead business process reviews, workflow analysis, and requirements gathering efforts to identify opportunities.
  • Drive innovation through technology, identifying solutions that improve service delivery, optimize resources, increase resident satisfaction, and support occupancy and retention objectives.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, service agreements, performance management, and accountability through measurable outcomes and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure effective system integration, governance, and regulatory compliance across platforms while maintaining data security, privacy, interoperability, and adherence to HIPAA and applicable state regulations.
  • Develop and maintain governance processes for system configuration, release management, change control, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Lead technology implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives in partnership with project management and business stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
  • Champion organizational change management and user adoption through effective communication, training, support, and continuous improvement programs that maximize technology value.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Define, measure, and communicate technology performance, business outcomes, and return on investment through analytics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
