Job Description

The Digital Workplace Content Analyst 2 administers, supports and continuously improves complex hybrid SharePoint environments, including on-premises SharePoint and Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online. This position provides operational support, configuration assistance, issue resolution, documentation and user enablement for enterprise collaboration and content management platforms. The role helps ensure SharePoint solutions are reliable, secure, well governed and aligned with business needs while partnering with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to support sites, content structures, permissions, workflows, forms, integrations and platform lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities

Administers and supports multiple on-premises SharePoint farms and Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, sites, libraries, lists, pages, navigation, content organization and related collaboration capabilities. (30%)

Troubleshoots complex SharePoint issues involving performance, access, search, content, workflows, forms, synchronization, integrations and user experience; coordinates escalation with infrastructure, identity, security, networking, Microsoft and vendor support teams as needed. (20%)

Supports SharePoint configuration, permissions, access reviews, content lifecycle activities, metadata, retention coordination and governance standards to promote secure and consistent platform use. (15%)

Partners with business areas to understand collaboration and content management needs, translate requirements into supportable SharePoint solutions and recommend options that align with enterprise standards. (10%)

Assists with planning, testing and implementing SharePoint upgrades, migrations, modernization efforts, feature releases, site remediation, content cleanup and transition activities across on-premises and Microsoft 365 environments. (10%)

Develops and maintains documentation, support procedures, knowledge articles, standards and training materials for administrators, support teams and end users. (5%)

Monitors platform health, service notifications, usage trends and operational risks; recommends improvements to strengthen reliability, security, usability and supportability. (5%)

Performs additional responsibilities as assigned. (5%)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business information technology or related technical field, or equivalent work experience. Typically, four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.

A minimum of two years additional direct related technical experience is required. Experience supporting SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 collaboration services or comparable enterprise content and collaboration platforms is preferred.

Knowledge of SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, permissions, content types, metadata, search, workflows, forms, governance, troubleshooting and administration concepts.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, identity and access concepts, service health, change management, migration support, Power Platform integration points and enterprise support practices is beneficial.

Effective oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work with technical teams, business stakeholders and vendors; prioritize multiple assignments; document support procedures; and handle concurrent operational and project activities.
