Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Digital Transformation & Integration Engineer to join our team working in the Washington D.C. Navy Yard. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days on site per week.

The engineer in this position will support CVN 78 Class (CL) Ship Design Managers (SDMs) execution of technical authority across the In-Service and New Construction product lines.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support the advancement of CVN 78 CL integrated digital shipbuilding (iDS) and the Navy-wide implementation of CVN digital engineering practices.
  • Act as a technical representative for migrating traditional, paper-based shipbuilding workflows into multi-dimensional, connected digital environments.
  • Oversee shipbuilder development of the Collaborative Multi-Platform Environment (COMET), executing and optimizing digital thread architectures, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workflows, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) integrations.
  • Provide engineering analysis and technically acceptable courses of action to the SDMs in support of technical authority execution.
  • Interact frequently with Deputy PAE CVN In-Service (PMS 312) and New Construction (PMS 378) in support of programmatic authority execution.
  • Establish and maintain the COMET digital engineering practices, guidelines, design disclosures, data rights and use cases throughout the development and delivery of this capability to the government.
  • Support the establishment of shipyard production workflows aligned to the iDS framework, increasing scheduling efficiency, resource coordination, and quality audits.
  • Support sustainment of 3D product models as a configuration managed source of truth in a unified government Amazon Web Services cloud environment.
  • Prepare the government digital infrastructure for Digital Twin capabilities.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in support of DOD / DOW contracts
  • 3+ years of experience supporting MBSE, digital transformation, digital engineering, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting shipyard, Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center (NSWC/NUWC), Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), and/or Type Commander (TYCOM) or similar organizations supporting construction or maintenance/modernization
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud-based environments


Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret prior to starting.


Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
