As a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Component Lead for the Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL), you will be a key leader in shaping and delivering complex, high-impact products that define the future of radar technology. You'll act as the bridge between our Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engineering teams and our Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Product Owners, providing technical guidance and driving execution to bring innovative solutions to life. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across theDigital Signal Processing (DSP) teams while mentoring and inspiring the next generation of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software engineers.

This position is onsite in Marlborough, MA.

What You Will Do

  • Lead with Purpose: Provide technical leadership to the DSP teams by providing guidance during all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strategize and Prioritize: Work with the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Product Owners and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Software Architect to manage and prioritize the DSP backlog, ensuring clarity on scope and alignment with business objectives. Support scope estimation during backlog planning.
  • Empower Teams: Foster a high-performing team culture by coaching team members, enhancing team coordination, and removing roadblocks.
  • Solve Complex Challenges: Work closely with the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) teams to tackle technical and operational challenges, ensuring solutions are both innovative and practical.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data and feedback to identify opportunities for process enhancements and product innovation, keeping the Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) ahead of the curve.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience with agile principles, frameworks, and tools, and adapting them to optimize team performance.
  • Experience with leading/mentoring a team.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages such as C++ and/or Java.
  • Experience addressing complex challenges in a collaborative/team environment.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government Secret issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Exceptional ability to articulate priorities, build consensus, and represent your team's needs to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
  • Experience in software development, and with Windows and Linux Operating Systems, GIT, Jira, Jenkins, Perl, Bash, and Kornshell.
  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent multiple work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
