Job Description :The Digital Programme Manager will lead the client-side management and coordination of a major global website transformation programme, working in partnership with Ledger Bennett and other delivery partners.
The role will be responsible for ensuring that the programme is effectively governed, client teams are aligned and accountable, and that the business, marketing, creative and technology workstreams come together to deliver a successful digital platform.
This is a senior programme management role requiring strong experience in enterprise digital transformation, stakeholder management, technology delivery and commercial governance.
The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination between the client organisation and its delivery partners, ensuring that decisions are made, dependencies are managed and the programme remains aligned to business objectives.
Key responsibilitiesProgramme leadership & governance
- Own the client-side programme management of the website transformation.
- Establish and maintain the overall programme plan, milestones and delivery governance.
- Coordinate the client's internal teams and external delivery partners.
- Establish programme governance forums, reporting and escalation processes.
- Maintain the programme RAID log, decision log and dependency tracker.
- Ensure that programme risks and issues are identified, managed and escalated appropriately.
- Coordinate steering committee and programme board meetings.
- Ensure that decisions are made within agreed timescales.
- Provide clear and accurate programme reporting to senior stakeholders.
Client-side delivery management
- Coordinate the client's responsibilities across business, marketing, content, IT, security, infrastructure and regional teams.
- Ensure that client resources are identified, allocated and available when required.
- Manage client-side dependencies and approvals.
- Ensure that client deliverables are provided to agreed standards and timelines.
- Coordinate UAT, business acceptance and operational readiness.
- Ensure that the client organisation is prepared for launch and ongoing operation.
- Coordinate regional and functional stakeholder input.
- Support the Product Owner in prioritising requirements and resolving competing priorities.
- Coordinate the client's technology workstreams and internal IT stakeholders.
- Ensure that enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure and application development teams are engaged at the appropriate stages.
- Coordinate technical reviews, approvals and stage gates.
- Ensure that client-side technical dependencies are identified and managed.
- Coordinate infrastructure, networking, DNS, security, IAM and integration activities.
- Ensure that technical standards and governance requirements are understood and addressed.
- Coordinate the client-side approval of changes.
- Ensure that changes are assessed for their impact on cost, timeline and resources.
- Support commercial discussions with LB and other delivery partners.
- Ensure that the programme remains aligned to the agreed investment and delivery objectives.
Partnership
- Work closely with the delivery teams to maintain a single, integrated programme plan.
- Coordinate the client's inputs into partner's delivery activities.
- Ensure that partners have the information, access, decisions and resources required to deliver.
- Review progress against agreed milestones and deliverables.
- Support the resolution of delivery risks and issues.
- Coordinate client approvals and sign-offs.
- Ensure that changes to scope, assumptions or dependencies are appropriately managed.
- Maintain a collaborative and transparent relationship with LB.
- Act as the primary client-side programme management counterpart to LB.
- Coordinate the website programme with the wider marketing strategy and creative concept development.
- Ensure that business objectives and marketing priorities are reflected in the website programme.
- Manage dependencies between strategy, audience research, creative, UX, content and technology.
- Ensure that the website remains aligned to the organisation's business strategy.
- Support the Solution Architect and Enterprise Architect in resolving technical decisions.
- Coordinate technical readiness for testing, deployment and launch.
Experience & qualificationsEssential
- Significant experience managing complex digital transformation programmes.
- Experience delivering enterprise websites or digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital strategy, UX, creative, content and technology delivery.
- Experience working with multiple internal teams and external delivery partners.
- Strong programme governance and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing technology dependencies and enterprise IT stakeholders
- Experience with global websites and localisation.
- Experience managing scope, budgets, risks and delivery timelines.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and modern digital development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with agencies, systems integrators and platform vendors.
