Job DescriptionThe ideal Digital Operations Supervisor has strong leadership and prioritization skills with abilities to manage the end-to-end flow of samples across our Nordstrom and Nordstromrack.com photo studio. In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for sample intake, tracking, coordination, and returns — driving operational excellence and developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all incoming product samples; ensure sample tracking systems are accurate and up to date, adapting processes as business needs evolve.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor the sample team, providing day-to-day guidance, task delegation, and coaching to foster a collaborative and productive studio environment.
- Partner with studio producers and business partners to ensure all samples are transferred and outbound with a high standard of accuracy and care.
- Oversee and direct the team's steaming and quality-inspection workflow for all samples ahead of photography, ensuring damaged or missing items are flagged immediately for appropriate resolution.
- Coordinate the timely return of samples to vendors, brands, or internal teams; resolve discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor sample throughput and identify process inefficiencies; propose and implement improvements to streamline studio operations.
- Collaborate on special projects and innovative initiatives with vendors and partner studios across our network.
- Analyze team performance data and key metrics to identify trends, develop actionable insights, and drive continuous business improvements.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a studio, e-commerce, or retail sample management role
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong proficiency with sample tracking systems or asset management software
- Excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Effective communicator with cross-functional teams and external partners
Nice to have
- Experience in fashion, apparel, or beauty photography environments
- Familiarity with NAVI/DEXTER or SAM (Studio Asset Management tool)
- Knowledge of garment care, steaming, and product handling best practices
- Background in inventory or supply chain operations

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$69,000.00 - $110,500.00 Annual
