Digital Engineer
The Opportunity

You are a forward-thinking digital engineer, passionate about solving complex problems through a systematic approach, strong technical skills, and data-centric analysis to answer critical questions. You excel at working independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders. You have experience implementing systems engineering approaches to support full lifecycle engineering and product development. You apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to provide highly innovative solutions. You are resourceful, leveraging script-based and low or no-code automation or AI tools to streamline and enhance workflows across engineering functions. You seek continuous improvement, are quick to learn new technologies and methods, and motivated to put in the focused effort needed to deliver high-quality results.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of the next generation of systems engineering, integrating human-in-the-loop processes and quality guardrails to ensure reliable outcomes.

You Have
  • Experience with performing systems engineering and scientific analysis, and developing systems engineering products
  • Knowledge of software programming and using automation or AI to enhance work
  • Ability to display a strong desire to learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices quickly, and apply new skills with confidence
  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders or teammates to achieve goals
  • Ability to break down complex problems into practical, manageable steps
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field


Nice If You Have
  • Experience with practical Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture, including using digital engineering tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody
  • Experience with project management, product testing, quality assurance, or quality control
  • Experience utilizing DevSecOps tools such as GitHub Actions to build and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with software development, including with RESTFul APIs, Node.js, JavaScript, or React
  • Experience with RAG technologies and LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, LLM model registries such as Hugging Face, and embedding models and vector databases
  • Experience with tools such as MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter
  • Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
