Full Job Description


The JRC team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Digital Engineer to provide Digital Engineering support to Strategic Systems Program, Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program.

You will provide Digital Engineering (DE) support for the Strategic Systems Program, Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program. You will provide support in the execution of implementing DE management practices including holding requirements Technical Review Boards, planning and oversight of installations including subsystem testing and certification.

What You'll Do
  • Develop the Digital Engineering strategy for the SLCM-N program as a part of the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP).
  • Lead a group of modelers to develop, coordinate, manage, review, and maintain the system descriptive model.
  • Develop the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) approach to support design and development, trade studies and analysis, system performance models, logistics and inventory models, threat evaluation, and testing events.
  • Support the integration of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with T&E capabilities and needs and with Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) efforts.
  • Support the development and use of programmatic and technical metrics, and data dashboards to aid program leadership in understanding and managing the program.
  • Support integration of Agile development methodologies into system development teams where appropriate.
  • Provide training and mentoring for more junior employees to grow the adoption of Digital Engineering throughout the program team.
  • Support the configuration management of MBSE models, M&S tools and software, and other digital artifacts as applicable.
  • Use Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud (TWC), and Cameo Collaborator to support system development activities and design reviews.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or other STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system design or systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Modeling and Simulation, Software Development, or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (or other elements of Digital Engineering).
  • An active DoD or an Active DOE security clearance at the SECRET level (or have held an active clearance within the past 2 years)
  • Experience managing models or software using software configuration management tools like GIT or TWC.
  • Experience using the SysML modeling language and experience using Cameo Systems Modeler and/or DOORS.

Bonus Points
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • U.S. Citizen with DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible
  • Experience using TWC, GIT, GITHUB, or BitBucket.
  • Experience with weapon system acquisition programs.
  • Preference for experience working with Jira and Confluence.
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) through INCOSE.
  • Certified OCSMP-Model Builder Intermediate.
  • Active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance SCI Eligible
