Banking Product Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Digital Banking Product Specialist to drive growth, profitability, and customer engagement across retail deposit, lending, and payment products, including traditional and digital products. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this role improves product performance, identifies market opportunities, and leads launches and enhancements in partnership with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Marketing, and Technology teams.

This role blends strategy, execution, and cross-functional leadership to deliver effective, compliant solutions that improve customer experience and meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies that increase product adoption, portfolio growth, and profitability.
  • Identify pricing, feature, and promotional opportunities that strengthen market position and results.
  • Lead product launches and enhancements from concept through implementation, ensuring timely, compliant execution.
  • Analyze customer, market, and competitor insights to improve product performance and customer experience.
  • Partner with Marketing to drive awareness, acquisition, and deeper customer engagement.
  • Build product knowledge and expertise with the front-line sales force, to attain business goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Partner across Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to deliver scalable, business-aligned product changes.
  • Work directly with digital channel platform administrators to enhance digital banking customer experience and engagement.
  • Build expertise in assigned products to guide decisions, support partners, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to support effective integration and execution.
  • Present recommendations to leadership with clear analysis of impact, tradeoffs, and implementation needs.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Marketing preferred; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 2+ years of product management experience with banking/digital products required
  • Demonstrated ability to build roadmaps, translate strategy into execution, and deliver measurable results.
  • Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across business, digital, operations, risk, compliance, legal, and technology.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with sound judgment and practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail.
    • The ideal applicant must demonstrate the ability to self-start, proactively taking initiative in this role. The candidate must be capable of independently identifying areas for growth and actively seeking opportunities to learn new skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
