Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and compliance-focused Digital Asset Management (DAM) Librarian to manage and optimize digital assets across multiple DAM platforms within a healthcare environment. As a key member of the Digital Strategy team this role is critical in ensuring the secure, compliant, and efficient use of digital assets across websites, portals, and marketing channels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare data privacy regulations, including HIPAA, and experience managing assets potentially containing or pertaining to PII and PHI. They will lead taxonomy governance, rights management, asset migration, and user training while maintaining the integrity and security of all digital content.

What You'll Do

Digital Asset Oversight:

  • Manage digital assets across multiple DAM systems, ensuring secure storage and access.
  • Enforce consistent metadata and taxonomy practices across all platforms.
  • Ensure assets are appropriately classified, especially thosecontainingorpertaining toPII or PHI.

Taxonomy & Metadata Management:

  • Develop andmaintaina unified taxonomy tailored to healthcare content.
  • Train users on metadata standards and taxonomy usage, with emphasis on compliance.
  • Continuously refine taxonomy to support evolving healthcare communication needs.

Compliance & Rights Management:

  • Ensure all digital assetscomply withHIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, andanyother relevant healthcareor privacyregulations.
  • Oversee digital rights management (DRM) and licensing for all assets.
  • Implement access controls and audit trails for sensitive content.

Migration & Consolidation:

  • Lead the planning and execution of asset migration between DAM systems.
  • Identifyand manage duplicate or outdated assets, ensuring secure disposal of sensitive data.
  • Recommend strategies for content consolidation and DAM optimization.

Training & Support:

  • Provide training and support to internal teams on DAM usage, taxonomy, and compliance.
  • Develop user documentation and best practice guides.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for DAM-related questions and issues.

Reporting & Auditing:

  • Conduct regular DAM health audits, including compliance checks for PII/PHI handling.
  • Generate reports on asset usage, taxonomy adherence, and system performance.
  • Present audit findings and improvement plans to stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Library Science, Health Information Management, Digital Media, ora relatedfield.
  • 3+ years of experience in related field
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related fields

Bonus Points (preferred qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience managing digital assets in a DAM system, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, PII, PHI, and healthcare data compliance
  • Experience with asset migration and DAM consolidation projects
  • Proficiency in DAM platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, OpenText, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

$98,092.00 - $156,947.00
