Diesel & Hydraulics Mechanic

$75,000 to $90,000 Starting Salary

Primary Objective

We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with additional experience in hydraulic systems. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment to keep them running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex engine and hydraulic issues.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently, following company standards and safety protocols.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding the status of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with other duties as needed, including occasional driving of company vehicles.


Key Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program preferred.
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and hydraulic systems.
  • Hydraulic experience is a plus.
  • Possession of a valid CDL is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify engine and hydraulic issues.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be willing to travel between our two office locations (Rocky Hill, CT/Haverhill, MA).
