Diagnostic X-ray Clinical Education Specialist Role summarySiemens Healthineers is seeking an experienced Diagnostic X-ray technologist to provide clinical education on Siemens imaging systems. In this travel-based contract role, you will train customer teams to use newly installed equipment, upgraded features, and existing systems safely and effectively. You may also support Siemens FlexForce engagements based on business needs.
Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, a talent for teaching, and the ability to build credibility quickly with teams in different care settings.
What you'll do- Prepare training materials and required regulatory-approved documentation before each customer engagement.
- Deliver hands-on clinical training for new installations, software and hardware upgrades, and ongoing or remedial education.
- Adapt training to each site's clinical needs while limiting disruption to patient care, workflow, and productivity.
- Communicate professionally with customers, clinical staff, and internal Siemens teams.
- Complete timecards, expense reports, vendor credentialing, daily in-service reports, and other required documentation.
- Maintain clinical and technical proficiency through continuing education and Siemens training programs.
- Support FlexForce technologist, coach, or startup assignments when requested.
Travel and scheduleThis role requires
weekly travel throughout the United States, potentially including Alaska and Hawaii. Assignments are generally onsite Monday through Thursday, with Friday used for remote reporting and administrative work. Weekly flights and rental cars are common. Business needs may occasionally require extended hours or weekend support.
Candidates who live within approximately one hour of a major airport are preferred. Weekly hours are generally targeted around 40, although travel and customer needs can affect the schedule.
Qualifications- Current ARRT certification in radiography or an equivalent national credential relevant to diagnostic X-ray.
- At least 3-5 years of clinical experience as an X-ray technologist.
- Strong communication, customer service, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to teach clearly, stay composed under pressure, and adapt to changing travel and customer schedules.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Preferred experience- Experience training students, orienting new hires, serving as a lead technologist, or providing other clinical instruction.
- Experience with Siemens equipment is preferred, but candidates with strong experience on other platforms are encouraged to apply.
- Five or more years of dedicated clinical experience, including experience with contemporary Siemens equipment and software.
