Position Overview
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit:

CT Scan, UHS Wilson Medical Center

Primary Work Shift:

Day Rotational

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Compensation Range:

$33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
  • Demonstrates adequate radiation safety practices as it relates to both patients as well as co-workers.
  • Participates in all Radiology Management System functionspertaining to patient procedures.
  • Provides patient education as required.
  • Maintains effective communications with referring physician and radiologist staff to provide for the efficient delivery of CT procedures.
  • Abides by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees or other customers.
  • Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Position Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • NYS Radiology Technologist license and ARRT

Preferred:

  • NYS Injection certification
  • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a full service hospital
  • ARRT CT Registration
