Full Job Description
DevSecOps Engineer, Senior provides technical leadership and subject-matter expertise to support the design, implementation, and execution of secure, automated CI/CD pipelines within the TDM-CATALYST environment. This role works across engineering, architecture, product management, and development teams to integrate security and automation best practices throughout the full application lifecycle, ensuring reliable, scalable, and compliant delivery of software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level technical expertise to support the design, implementation, and execution of automated CI/CD pipelines within the MCBOSS environment.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with development teams to ensure DevSecOps tools and toolchains are properly configured and available for program use.
  • Integrate security, testing, configuration control, and automation practices across the full product lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on DevSecOps industry best practices to systems engineering, architecture, product management, and application development teams.
  • Support requirements analysis, technical design, system integration, implementation, and deployment activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, performance, and security of development and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and technical guidance related to DevSecOps processes and tool usage.
  • May provide technical oversight, mentorship, and task-level guidance to mid- and junior-level engineers.
  • May lead or coordinate DevSecOps-related activities across multiple teams but does not have formal people-management responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD, or automated software delivery in enterprise or government environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting DevSecOps tools and toolchains, including automation, security scanning, testing, and orchestration tools.
  • Active Department of Defense Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance, as required by the contract.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting secure software development and deployment within the Department of Defense or other federal environments.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating security controls and compliance requirements into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Relevant technical certifications, such as:
    • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
    • DevOps or DevSecOps certifications
    • Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting high-visibility or mission-critical systems.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Expert knowledge of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipeline design, and automated deployment strategies.
  • Strong understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Ability to integrate security, testing, and configuration management into automated pipelines.
  • Proficiency in collaborating across multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to system integration and automation challenges.
  • Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement DevSecOps tools and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical guidance and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently on complex, mission-critical technical efforts.
