Development Operations Engineer 3 - (Linux, Kubernetes, Docker)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Description:

Responsible for system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration of VLP/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/Wireless SIGINT survey, collection and geo-location systems and software to include prototypes, development, operational testing, test, and labs systems and products.

Designing solutions, integrating, configuring, deploying, testing and providing ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices.

Position Required Skills:
  • Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Experience building and maintaining pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible or Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for software deployment.
  • Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Experience with management and monitoring of hybrid cloud/virtualized environments.
  • Experience with both Arista and Cisco network devices.
  • Performing network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks LAN/CAN/WAN administration.
  • Configuring and optimizing the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.

DEVOPS3 Qualifications:

Twelve (12) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps.

Recent experience within the last three (3) years in Kubernetes.

Recent experience within the last three (3) years in cluster orchestration.

Recent experience within the last three (3) years containerization.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.

May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

May substitute two years' experience with MS in Engineering or CS.

May substitute two (2) years of experience with Masters of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.

May substitute four (4) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

Be available for 24/7 call-in support for operational system critical discrepancies.

Willing to travel for information system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Salary Range: $254k-$311k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
