Full Job Description
Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $74,900 - Midpoint: $101,100 (Salaried E12)
Department/Organization: 301105 - Development
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Development Associate Director identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards major gift prospects for The University of Alabama. Works with individuals, corporations, and foundations in building relationships in support of academic and institutional priorities.
Additional Department Summary: The Development Associate Director dual reports to the Office of Development and the Barefield College of Arts & Sciences.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience; OR master's degree and some development, fundraising, sales, communications and/or public relations experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Good public relations, oral and written communications, excellent organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability to use personal computer for word processing and standard software packages.
Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising preferred.
