Full Job Description
About the Role

This is the founding US presence for a seed/Series A-stage open-source MLOps and AI infrastructure company, reporting directly to the founders. You will own the entire San Francisco developer relations and go-to-market motion, sitting at the intersection of community building, technical evangelism, and growth. It is a high-autonomy, high-ownership role where your work translates directly into pipeline and product direction.
What You'll Do
  • Launch and run a recurring ML-infrastructure meetup in San Francisco, growing it from zero into a must-attend community event.
  • Represent the company at AI/ML conferences, hackathons, and community gatherings across the Bay Area.
  • Demo a Python-based open-source framework live in front of technical audiences and field real engineering questions.
  • Create and ship content including talks, blog posts, demo videos, and social content grounded in real community observations.
  • Instrument community and event engagement by wiring product-usage signals, GitHub activity, and CRM data into automated lead-scoring and follow-up workflows.
  • Act as the eyes and ears in the Valley, feeding product and GTM teams with structured intelligence on what practitioners are building, evaluating, and struggling with.
  • Convert conversations and relationships into traceable pipeline using the modern GTM stack.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years in DevRel, community building, growth, or developer-facing GTM, preferably at an early-stage or resource-constrained company rather than a large enterprise.
  • Proficiency in Python with the ability to demo a framework live, read production code, work with APIs, and troubleshoot in front of engineering audiences.
  • Hands-on experience building community engagement funnels with tools such as CRM platforms, enrichment tools like Clay, Mixpanel, GitHub APIs, and light automation or LLM-based workflows.
  • Documented track record of running recurring events with measurable attendance growth and converting attendee engagement into business outcomes.
  • Experience with open-source community dynamics, GitHub-native audiences, and product-led or usage-based GTM motions.
  • Familiarity with the MLOps, LLMOps, or AI-agent infrastructure landscape.
  • An existing network in the San Francisco AI and ML infrastructure community and a visible personal brand through talks, events, or social presence.
  • Self-directed and comfortable building from scratch with minimal process or oversight.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $160,000 to $220,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location

On-site in San Francisco, CA, United States. In-person presence is a core requirement of this role; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
