Job Title: Developer III

Position Details:
  • Contract C2 Eligibility is required Interviews: Remote Partial Onsite: Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday Onsite and as Needed Hours: Monday-Friday - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time • Occasional overtime • Occasional off-hours work • Occasional weekend support associated with maintenance activities, deployments, disaster recovery exercises, or operational events Routine travel is not expected.

  • Windows Server Team Distributed Platform Services (DPS) IT Service Operations
Day To Day: The Developer III will design, develop, maintain, and enhance internally developed applications and automation solutions supporting enterprise Windows Server operations. Responsibilities include building and modifying web applications, integrating systems through APIs, creating and maintaining SQL database objects, troubleshooting application issues, and partnering with infrastructure engineers to automate operational processes. The individual will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and ongoing support. The role will support workflow automation and integration efforts involving ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms used to manage incidents, changes, vulnerabilities, compliance activities, asset lifecycle processes, and operational work management. The successful candidate will regularly collaborate with server engineers, project teams, compliance stakeholders, and operational leadership to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced service delivery **Importance This role works closely with infrastructure engineers, operations teams, project teams, compliance stakeholders, business partners, and leadership. The successful candidate must be capable of translating business and operational requirements into technical solutions, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and functioning effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. Responsibilities:
  • Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design. Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes. Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programs. Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
  • 20% Ensure team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, organizational standards are maintained, and applications are delivered according to project timeliness. Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
  • 20% Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area.
  • 20% Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
  • 20% Analyze production systems, recommend systems enhancements, provide instruction to production support team. Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements. 20% Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, and work flow diagrams and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.

Minimum Required Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment. Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates logical abstract thinking and assimilating/adhering to project goals and deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team. Strong knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building. Familiar with project management concepts. Pays attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors etc.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree. Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree Minimum Required Work Experience: 4 years-of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience Required: 1. Pay Transparency:
  • This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $40.00/hour - $51.43/hour W-2.
