the roleWe're looking for a detail-oriented Trims Designer to join our Accessories Design team, working across Bags & SLGs, Headwear, Equipment, and Socks. You'll lead the design and development of trims and hardware, supporting both future concepts and in-season product, with a strong focus on function, quality, and brand expression.

Partnering closely with Raw Materials Development and cross-functional teams, you'll create thoughtful solutions across soft and hard components, designing hardware such as closures, adjusters, and branded elements, while ensuring every detail integrates seamlessly into a cohesive design language.

Accessories span both textile and hardware-led products, from bags to performance essentials, built with technical materials and purposeful design.

You'll contribute to fittings and design reviews, driving development forward while bringing curiosity, a sharp eye, and a hands-on approach to materials, trims, and innovation.

Qualifications
  • You bring 5+ years of experience in accessories, hardware, product design, industrial design, or engineering within apparel, footwear, or related industries.
  • You have a strong foundation in designing and developing trims and hardware in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with an understanding of both aesthetic and engineering considerations.
  • You're able to think in both design and technical terms-balancing form, function, manufacturability, and performance in every solution.
  • You collaborate with ease, building strong partnerships across design, development, merchandising, sourcing, engineering counterparts, and external vendors.
  • You're highly organized, with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to follow-through from concept through commercialization.
  • You're adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities, navigating changing timelines and business needs with confidence.
  • You communicate ideas clearly and thoughtfully, both visually and verbally, and can articulate design intent, technical rationale, and strategy with impact.
  • You're comfortable supporting the product creation process through mock-ups, prototyping, tech sketch updates, and detailed documentation during fittings and reviews.
  • You bring curiosity and an innovative mindset, exploring how materials, hardware systems, and construction methods can elevate performance and user experience.
  • You maintain organization across files, materials, research, and samples, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the development process.
  • You're highly skilled in hand sketching, CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D tools, using them to visualize, prototype, and validate concepts.
  • You have experience working with global vendors and manufacturing partners; agency experience is considered an asset.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$104,000 - $115,000 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
