Pay: $90,000 - $110,000, annually.

The Role

CSI is looking for an experienced Design Supervisor • Field Installation to lead our field installation design team. This is more than a technical design role• it's an opportunity to mentor designers, improve processes, implement new technology, and ensure our field installation projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

You'll combine leadership, technical expertise, and real-world field knowledge to help our designers create constructible stainless-steel piping systems that perform in the field• not just on a computer screen.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and develop a team of Designers I, II, III, and Lead Designers
  • Balance workloads and prioritize multiple field installation projects
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members while supporting career development
  • Ensure designs are accurate, constructible, code-compliant, and ready for efficient field installation
  • Bring real jobsite experience into the design process by planning around installation sequence, material flow, staging, and field logistics
  • Maximize shop prefabrication opportunities to reduce field labor and rework
  • Lead design reviews and maintain quality standards across all projects
  • Champion the use of laser scanning, point cloud workflows, Revit, Navisworks, and other design technologies
  • Improve design standards, workflows, templates, and quality control processes
  • Evaluate and implement new technology that improves productivity and project outcomes
  • Partner with Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Project Management, and customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Design Department

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, or related field required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory training preferred
  • Significant mechanical design experience required
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of sanitary stainless-steel piping systems and field installation practices
  • Advanced experience with Revit, point cloud workflows, laser scanning, Navisworks coordination, Plant 3D, and AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of fabrication methods, constructability, and applicable industry standards such as ASME BPE, 3-A, ASME Section IX, and cGMP
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

This role is primarily office-based, Monday-Friday, with limited travel. It requires extended computer use, effective communication, and occasional movement within industrial environments. Light physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds, may be required.
