  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and technical staff.

Full Job Description
Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 Hours: Full-time - 35 Hours The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Public Buildings Division, Architecture & Engineering Unit seeks a Design Reviewer (Electrical). The duties for this position will include, but are not limited to, project scoping, design and/or review of consultant drawings and specifications (utilizing Blue-Beam), site inspection and reports, ad hoc technical investigations; in-house design (utilizing AutoCAD) and providing technical expertise and support services for client-agency projects. The candidate will also interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and technical staff. Qualification Requirements 1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and seven years of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical estimating work on construction projects; or 2. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" above. Undergraduate college credit can be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 credits leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology for one year of experience, up to a maximum of four years of acceptable experience. Full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering will be credited on a year for year basis up to a maximum of five years of acceptable experience. However, all candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical estimating work on construction projects.
