Job Description

DUTIES: Participate in product development and integration activities. Utilize engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and systems for vehicle programs. Develop and maintain a specific cluster family set of requirements for both hardware and software. Coordinate all milestone deliveries for hardware and software to support all preproduction and production activities. Provide an active conduit between GM and the Interfacing Tier 1 - Supplier for all open items. Contribute to GM-Validation to achieve successful validation complete timing in alignment with program milestones. Perform the Application Engineering role releasing the part through the GM release process. Provide technical and day-to-day direction to Resident Engineers to deliver all required program specific work products. Resolve highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Prepare and finalize the technical requirements for cluster with Subject Matter Expert (SME) collaboration. Develop Engineering Solution for Cluster based on vehicle architecture and release final design to production ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications. Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and timing targets. Initiate and conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Review and approve dimming curve analysis for day and night mode in the vehicle and check the reflection study in the vehicle. Work with supplier to complete component validation on time and participate Design Review Based upon Test Results (DRBTR) events. Prepare and track engineering change releases (ECR) and maintain documentation. Support prototype builds and testing activities, analyzing results, and making recommendations for design improvements. Triage and resolve issues in timely manner and document in the Problem Resolution Tracking System (PRTS). Support purchasing team for engineering design cost discussions and cost savings ideas. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Design Release Engineer, or related role. Five (5) years of experience with the following: PRTS (Problem Resolution and Tracking System), ECR (Engineering Change Request), Emerge system (engineering application to support multiple business processes and workflows); Vehicle development process; Vehicle electrical

architecture and related systems; Infotainment Systems Hardware and Software Engineering; CAN and LIN architecture including collecting logs to root cause issues; Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA); Design Review Based upon Test Results (DRBTR); Program Management focus on Clusters; Strategic Orientation for SW implementation; System Engineering; Pre-Production Approval Process; and Electronic Control Unit Validation Engineering (Environmental, Electromagnetic compatibility, Software and Vehicle system level).
