Position Overview:You will lead the design and development of structural components for Polaris off-road vehicles, including chassis, roll-over protection systems (ROPS), and bumpers. In this role, you define requirements, develop specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver designs that meet performance, quality, cost, and timing targets. You will work closely with product management, operations, and suppliers to support manufacturing readiness and successful product launches. Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop vehicle structural components and assemblies, including chassis, ROPS, and bumpers
- Own component development from concept through production, ensuring alignment to specifications, build timing, and program targets
- Develop and maintain engineering requirements, specifications, DFMEA, and DVP&R documentation
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, reliability, schedule, and cost objectives
- Support validation and manufacturing strategy development across all component variants
- Determine appropriate manufacturing methods to achieve design performance and cost targets
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, designers, and external partners to support design execution
- Create sketches, layouts, and presentations to support design concepts and problem resolution
- Lead and participate in design reviews to ensure cross-functional input and alignment
- Analyze field issues and implement corrective actions to improve product performance and quality

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in design or systems engineering
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools such as CREO
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and methods
- Knowledge of PLM systems such as PTC Windchill preferred
- Experience with GD&T, FMEA, tolerance stack-ups, and fit and finish requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to support vehicle development and testing activities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $83,000 to $109,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
