Job DescriptionPosition Summary Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems. Provide ongoing technical guidance and engineering issue resolution as needed.
Position Details- Provides conceptual design for specific projects
- Serves as design professional at project team design meetings
- Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
- Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.
- Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase
- Supervises less-experienced engineers in performing HVAC or other system design and documents production of small and large projects
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- PE License required
- 8+ years of experience, including lead experience
- Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.
- Ability to read complex mechanical and plumbing plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
- Strong public speaking/presentation skills
- Excellent computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, including as Excel

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California, this ranges from $120,000.00-$135,000.00 yearly plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
