This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar's NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. **WHAT WE DO** - The Rockstar Games Product Design Team creates experiences that help fuel the reach and impact of our brand and deepen players' relationships and engagement with our innovative products. - Our team leads a range of projects that includes (but is not limited to) websites, apps, social, and other digital marketing and engagement experiences. - We grow and evolve the tools, features, and solutions relied upon by teams across the company to achieve business objectives on digital channels. - Our Product Designers work iteratively and collaboratively to create best-in-class digital experiences and product features for a large-scale global audience. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Bridge the gap between Design and Engineering teams to implement, refine, and optimize the interactions, details, and animations that distinguish world-class digital products on web and other media. - Partner with Designers to translate ambitious ideas to code, leveraging your subject-matter expertise to provide feedback, solutions, and creative ideas throughout the design process. - Prototype with code as a design tool, building interactive prototypes that help validate ideas, resolve product questions, and accelerate decision-making. - Work alongside Engineers to translate cutting-edge design concepts into performant product features that carefully balance ambition and fidelity with the needs of scale to a wide global audience. - Contribute reusable interaction patterns, motion systems, and frontend components that raise the quality bar across products. - Champion frontend craft, advocating for best practices in interaction design, animation, accessibility, and performance. - Explore emerging technologies, tools, and techniques to continuously push the boundaries of digital marketing and product experiences. **REQUIREMENTS** - 5+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer, Creative Developer, Design Technologist, or similar role. - Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated passion for craft, polish, and creating best-in-class digital experiences. - Advanced working knowledge of CSS - including animations, responsive design, rendering performance, browser capabilities, and modern best practices. - Proven experience crafting sophisticated UI animations and interactive experiences using GSAP or comparable animation libraries. - Strong proficiency with modern design tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. - Proficiency in React and Typescript. - Demonstrated ability to prototype and communicate ideas through code rather than static mockups alone. - Experience collaborating closely with both designers and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle. **PLUSES** Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position. - Experience with three.js, and/or 3D content creation tools such as Blender or Cinema 4D. - Familiarity with WebGL, shaders, or other advanced graphics technologies. - Experience optimizing highly interactive content for performance across a variety of devices and platforms. - Professional experience creating motion graphics and animation. - Passionate about video games, film, and entertainment. **ADDITIONAL INFORMATION** - All applications must be accompanied by a portfolio to be considered. **HOW TO APPLY** Please apply with a resume, portfolio, and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above. If we would like to move forward with your application, a Rockstar recruiter will reach out to you to explain next steps and guide you through the process.
