Job Description Position SummaryThe Production Engineer supports the design and manufacture of contour forgings through forging process development, tooling design, production support, and technical problem solving. This position works cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Metallurgy, Sales, Maintenance, customers, and outside vendors.
Duties & Responsibilities- Learn and apply company forging design fundamentals to develop forging processes and associated tooling.
- Provide engineering support throughout the forge shop, including troubleshooting production, tooling, and dimensional issues.
- Work with Quality, Inspection, Production, and other departments to evaluate forging requirements and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Evaluate tooling condition and coordinate tooling rework, repair, and outside processing as required.
- Review engineering drawings, customer specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain engineering drawings, tooling records, purchase orders, and other technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement, process development, and corrective-action activities.
Qualifications - Design Engineer - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with CAD software and ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensional requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with other departments, customers, and vendors.
- Manufacturing, forging, machining, or tooling experience preferred.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $72300 to $108500 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
