Position Overview

Multimatic's Structures & Suspension Design Department is looking for talented Design Engineers to help develop automotive structures and suspension products for the world's leading OEMs. Our team works across control arms, suspension links, ball joints, body structures, bumper systems, instrument panel structures, and ACCRA hot-formed tubular structures. In this role, you'll take components from concept through to production, helping ensure they meet performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate innovative design concepts for automotive structures and suspension products to satisfy OEM customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings with GD&T, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with program management, process, and quality teams at Multimatic's manufacturing divisions to support DFM, DFA, and VA/VE activities.
  • Support validation activities including CAE, testing, and design reviews.
  • Support department R&D and innovation activities related to automotive structures and suspension systems.
  • Analyze test results and support root-cause investigations to drive design improvements.
  • Participate in prototype builds, product launches, and manufacturing support activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
  • Communicate directly with customers to understand technical requirements, provide design solutions, and program updates.
  • Adhere to company safety, quality, and environmental standards.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$57,658.00 - $107,000.00
