Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and CATIA.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and GD&T.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Customer-focused with self-motivation and the ability to work extended hours and travel if needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo and SolidWorks.
• Support integration, assembly, and testing of mechanical and opto-mechanical components.
• Investigate design factors like thermal response, vibration, and manufacturability under guidance.
• Validate designs for compliance with engineering requirements and recommend improvements.
• Identify errors and process deficiencies to suggest necessary changes.
• Prepare technical documentation including parts lists and design notes.
• Participate in design reviews, presenting findings and supporting trade studies.
