Design and Analysis Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analy)

Position Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
  • Leads and executes tests and validates hardware/software to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Perform laboratory integration testing as required
  • Participating in airplane ground and flight tests as required
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites
  • Oversee the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Solves problems and provides support for hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
  • Research innovative technologies for potential application to company business needs
  • Position requires close coordination and teaming with other internal and external Engineering teams
  • Mentoring and training new employees


This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. a7120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of full-time aerospace industry experience within Avionics, Electrical, Software, Cabin Systems, Inflight Entertainment Systems, Connectivity systems or Electro-Magnetic Effects


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Senior (Level 4): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a role which required knowledge of MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, DO-160, DO-178, IEC-61000, and / or FCC part 15
  • 1+ years of experience leading an integrated product team of engineers, supplier management and quality specialists, and certification experts through the design and delivery of certified hardware

  • Mid-level (Level 3):
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more yearsa0related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 yearsa0related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


  • Senior (Level 4):
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more yearsa0related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 yearsa0related work experience, Master+7 yearsa0related work experience).
