Posting Summary
  • Perform patient care duties as a clinical dermatologist, as well as duties as a dermatopathologist.
  • Provide patient care covering outpatient services and teach medical students, residents and fellows.
  • Responsibilities include attending coverage for inpatient consults and weekend call with residents (a shared responsibility with all faculty members)

Medical education, which involves teaching medical and other health professional , residents, and/or fellows, typically in a clinical (both outpatient and inpatient) setting, which is an environment where learners can interact with patients under the guidance of qualified faculty members who give value, context, and meaning to those interactions in accordance with the LCME curriculum ground rules, the ACGME core competencies, the ACGME Common Program Requirements relating to medical and health education, or the requirements of other health professions' accrediting bodies.

Didactic education in your area of expertise including sessions that may include lectures, classroom instruction, and grand rounds presented to students, residents, fellows, faculty, and community physicians.

Participate in educational and continuing medical education activities within the Division and the department, as an instructor, panelist, moderator, or participant.

Participate in the recruitment of faculty, fellows, and staff to the division/department.

Participate in medical school, department, and program (as applicable) licensure, accreditation, and certification initiatives.

Display professionalism as manifested through a commitment to professional responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles, and sensitivity to a diverse population;

Display outstanding faculty citizenship, which includes timely communication with administrative and clinical leadership in the department; regular meeting attendance (division, department and hospital); successfully performing medical education obligations; participation in hospital and University committees; and, adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Support the educational goals and activities of the RWJ Medical School, Center for Dermatology, and Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
  • Comply with all medical school and hospital medical staff bylaws.
  • Understands and adheres to RBHS's compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy and Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and RBHS regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
