Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Deputy Program Manager and Enterprise Project Management Office Lead to support a large Department of Defense and federal enterprise program focused on IT operations, program governance, and mission-critical service delivery. This role provides daily operational oversight and integration across multiple workstreams, including enterprise PMO support, technical coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

The Deputy Program Manager will ensure that schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables remain aligned across all program areas. The role also supports the Program Manager in performance monitoring, reporting, communications, and the implementation of enterprise PMO processes and standards.

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Deputy Program Manager / EPMO Lead will:

  • Coordinate daily program operations across enterprise PMO functions, technical service delivery, and administrative support areas for a DoD-aligned program.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, identifying milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource needs.
  • Lead cross-functional integration among technical, operational, and support teams to ensure synchronized execution.
  • Establish and manage PMO governance processes, standardized documentation, performance tracking, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, dashboards, status reports, risk logs, and communications for government stakeholders.
  • Facilitate operational meetings including standups, weekly syncs, working groups, and milestone review sessions.
  • Monitor performance indicators, analyze operational trends, and support risk identification and mitigation planning.
  • Engage with DoD and federal stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate priorities, and maintain alignment with mission objectives.
  • Track issues, action items, and program dependencies to closure and ensure consistent forward progress.
  • Support compliance with contractual obligations, DoD policies, and established performance standards.
Qualifications

Clearance Requirement

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.

Education (Required)

  • Bachelors degree in business, management, or a related field.

Experience (Required)

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in program management, enterprise PMO operations, or project coordination supporting federal or DoD programs.
  • Experience working across multiple integrated workstreams such as IT service delivery, mission support, or enterprise operations.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing schedules, risks, and operational workflows.

Technical Knowledge (Required)

  • Knowledge of project and program management principles, PMO methodologies, and governance practices.
  • Experience developing PMO artifacts including performance dashboards, trackers, workflows, and reporting templates.
  • Understanding of DoD or federal program environments, contract execution, and mission-support processes.
  • Experience with schedule management, resource tracking, issue management, and risk analysis.

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and iterative planning cycles.
  • Experience using project and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or Smartsheet.
