Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) leads and is accounatble to the Program Manager for the overall Program. The DPM leads the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure we manage the operations and complete required deliverables to support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
- You will provide a variety of multi-disciplined management services to support the overall program, various customer Portfolio and associated Product Teams.
- You areresponsible for providing, maintaining, and supporting common tools and processes that enable the Government to track and manage individual projects.
- You will employ comprehensive management functions to ensure a systematic approach to IT project management, coordinating with assigned Government representatives for project execution and documentation.
- The DPMr will facilitate regular collaboration sessions between Enterprise Operations and Product Teams to align operational requirements, deployment timelines, and priorities.
- You will also support data sharing and electronic transfer initiatives with interagency partners, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of War (DoW), and other agencies.
- Manage and process data from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Computer Linked Application Information Management System (CLAIMS) and other approved electronic means.
- Represent DoS’s technical and subject matter interests on relevant interagency calls.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 12+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- PMP Certification
- Top Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- ITIL 4 Foundation, Comp TIA Sec + Certification(s)
