Full Job Description
General Description: The Deputy Operations Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for enforcing operational policies, processes, and procedures and ensuring personnel/systems are prepared to and meet customer requirements and objectives. The Deputy Ops Manager carries the same responsibilities as the Operations Manager, however, this position is specifically responsible for (but not limited to) tasks:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Regularly review Material/Service Requests (MSRs) for accuracy and approving
  • Regularly review Discrepancy Reports for accuracy and timely updates/closures, and overall compliance to DR Procedures
  • Review and approve mission and engineering related technical documents and drawings
  • Review and assess maintenance performance and effectiveness
  • Responsible for assisting Operations Supervisors with identifying required positional training, evaluating training materials and assessing training effectiveness
  • Work with other area Deputy Managers to assess schedule and available resources for upcoming operations, deployments, and other supports. Provide deconfliction plans where necessary

  • Support Operations Manager with operational process development improvements
  • Works in close collaboration with Operations Manager to execute Operations strategy
  • Assists with and improves processes, tools, documentation and management techniques to maximize operations process execution excellence and quality
  • Assists Operations Manager with managing and tasking resources to effectively meet organizational goals and customer requirements as required
  • Leads operations management functions including direct customer interface & represent WRC and present deliverables at technical reviews, proposal reviews or other technical meetings when required.
  • Routinely communicates activities, issues, and concerns to the Operations Manager
  • Function as the Operations Manager designee as needed/required
  • Deputy Operations Manager is expected to either be certified or become a certified Site Lead for remote deployments.
  • Deputy Operations Manager is expected to either be certified or become a certified Mission and Operations lead (M&O) for mission support

Education/Experience:

  • Previous WRC operations support experience with on console launch support experience required. Remote deployment experience desired
  • Previous project management experience desired
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WRC operational service areas including personnel skills and system capabilities as well as general mission support architecture
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience required
  • Microsoft Power Platform experience desired
