Full Job Description
Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced and exceptionally talented Deputy Joint Experimentation and Data Integration (JEDI) Operations Team Lead to support the planning, integration, execution, assessment, and institutionalization of operational experimentation across major military exercises, wargames, demonstrations, and joint or multinational operational events.

This role will help translate operational challenges into disciplined experimentation and actionable learning. You will advise military and civilian leaders, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, integrate experimentation into complex operational events, and ensure that findings are credible, operationally relevant, and connected to follow-on decisions involving capabilities, doctrine, training, force design, and future experimentation.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Support US Pacific Command J8 Joint Experimentation and Data Integration Operations (JEDI Ops) experimentation strategies, governance processes, standards, and multi-year priorities.
  • Plan, integrate, and oversee experimentation across major joint, combined, interagency, multinational, and operational events while protecting primary exercise and readiness objectives.
  • Translate operational challenges into experiment designs, hypotheses, measurable outcomes, data requirements, decision points, and follow-on activities.
  • Advise JEDI Ops leadership, commanders, senior military and civilian officials, and other stakeholders on experimentation priorities, operational objectives, capability risks, and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Coordinate with exercise leadership, operational commands, technical organizations, laboratories, industry, academia, and multinational partners to align objectives, resources, schedules, systems, personnel, and access.
  • Lead the development and review of experiment architectures, data-collection plans, assessment methods, observer/controller structures, technical demonstrations, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and analytical approaches involving operational observation, interviews, surveys, system and sensor data, modeling and simulations, operational logs, mission-thread analysis, and quantitative performance measures.
  • Evaluate the quality, validity, reliability, limitations, and operational relevance of findings; identify data gaps, bias, uncertainty, and the need for additional experimentation or analysis.
  • Develop Executive/Flag or General-level decision products and briefings that communicate findings, operational implications, tradeoffs, risks, uncertainty, and recommended actions.
  • Support workforce planning, mentoring, resource and budget management, contractor oversight, security and data governance, risk mitigation, and the transition of findings into capability development, doctrine, training, and future experimentation.
  • Provide continuity and assume designated leadership responsibilities in the absence of, or as directed by, senior JEDI Ops leadership.

  • Equivalent combinations of advanced military experience, technical expertise, education, and demonstrated leadership may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • At least 12+ years of relevant experience in military operations, joint or service exercises, experimentation, operational assessment, test and evaluation, capability development, force design, systems integration, operational analysis, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience leading or coordinating teams, programs, or major cross-functional initiatives involving military personnel, government civilians, contractors, multinational personnel, or other mission partners.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating experimentation, assessment, or learning objectives into complex exercises, wargames, demonstrations, operational tests, or field events.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief senior military and civilian leaders and translate technical or analytical findings into operational, programmatic, and resource decisions.
  • Experience coordinating across operational, technical, analytical, acquisition, and external stakeholder organizations.
  • Ability to travel frequently and operate effectively in geographically dispersed, austere, multinational, domestic, and classified environments.

  • Experience with formal experimentation methodologies, campaign-of-learning development, operational research, modeling and simulation, data engineering, statistics, or test-and-evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience supporting complex budgets, high-value contracts, classified programs, or geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience supporting flag- or general-officer decision forums, joint or service-level boards, major acquisition decisions, or capability portfolio reviews.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of joint planning processes, major exercise planning cycles, operational assessment, and military decision-support requirements.
