Full Job Description
AuroraLocation:

Deputy Executive Director promotes and supports population health in Kane County by working closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement organizational strategies and operational plans. This role provides leadership to the team of operational Directors at the Health Department and provides supervision to administrative staff for facilities and reception. This role assists with policy creation and implementation, supports staff development efforts and facilitates collaboration for cross-cutting activities and initiatives with a diverse team of public health professionals.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Public Policy, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Ten years of operational management experience including oversight of multiple functional areas; or an equivalent combination of training and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities.
  • Proven experience working with healthcare, social service and local business organizations.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams of staff at all professional levels.
  • Experience implementing functional and strategic plans
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead long-term initiatives.
