Full Job Description
The Role

The Deployment Strategist is the technical architect and implementer for each AI deployment, bridging customer needs and technical execution. You'll design agent workflows, manage the build process, handle integrations, and ensure deployments deliver measurable clinical value.

This role demands strong technical judgment, customer empathy, and the ability to scope complex problems under uncertainty. You're not writing code-you're orchestrating integrations, configuring AI agents, and running the deployment from initial scoping through optimization.
What Success Looks Like
  • Impact at deployment: Your scoping process accurately translates customer workflows into well-structured agent designs that deliver measurable results
  • Efficient builds: You use established tools and patterns to configure agents quickly, spending your time on high-value technical decisions rather than low-level coding
  • Smooth integrations: You define integration requirements clearly, work with engineering to execute them, and ensure data flows reliably between our agents and customer systems
  • Customer leadership: You're the trusted technical and operational advisor to the customer, explaining trade-offs, managing expectations, and proposing solutions
  • Analytics-driven optimization: You monitor agent performance, identify opportunities to improve accuracy or efficiency, and drive continuous refinement
  • Knowledge capture: You document patterns, create reusable configurations, and build institutional knowledge that accelerates future deployments
  • Effective project management: You are leading use case implementations end to end - tracking to milestones and ensuring successful timely go-lives.
Core Responsibilities
  • Initial Scoping & Requirement Analysis - partner with the customer to understand workflows, define agent scope, and identify integration touchpoints
  • Agent Build & Configuration - design agent workflows, select tools, configure prompts and behaviors, and validate functionality
  • Technical Account Management - act as the lead during deployment, managing scope decisions and explaining technical constraints to customers
  • Project Management - develop build timelines, coordinate with engineering, track progress, and escalate blockers early
  • Integration Architecture - define data requirements, design integration workflows, and partner with engineering to implement them
  • Post-Launch Analytics & Optimization - monitor agent performance, analyze usage patterns, and drive continuous improvements
Location & Travel
  • This is a forward-deployed, onsite role.
  • This is an onsite role based in Columbus, Ohio, with five days per week at the client site and occasional travel to Hippocratic AI headquarters (Menlo Park, CA) for strategic planning and team sessions.
What You Bring
Must Haves
  • 5+ years of technical experience (software engineering, cloud architecture, systems design, or technical consulting)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into clear technical requirements
  • Customer empathy and communication: you can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and listen deeply to understand underlying customer needs
  • Project management capability: you scope work, estimate timelines, manage dependencies, and communicate status proactively
Nice to Haves
  • Healthcare domain expertise (clinical workflows, EHR systems, healthcare data standards like FHIR)
  • Experience with AI/ML orchestration, prompt engineering, or LLM-powered applications
  • Healthcare IT experience (EHR integrations, healthcare data pipelines, clinical informatics)
  • Experience building tools for complex, regulated environments
