Key Responsibilities- Examine teeth, gums, and related oral tissues using advanced diagnostic equipment and digital imaging to evaluate dental health and develop personalized treatment plans
- Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures with both preventive and corrective services
- Perform endodontic procedures including root canal therapy and pulp capping treatments
- Execute oral and periodontal surgical procedures with precision and care
- Design, fabricate, and fit prosthodontic appliances including crowns, bridges, dentures, and space maintainers
- Perform cosmetic dental procedures including teeth whitening, cleaning, and polishing to restore natural tooth color and aesthetics
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride coatings to protect patient teeth
- Eliminate irritating filling margins and correct occlusion issues using specialized dental instruments
- Prescribe and record medications including antibiotics and other therapeutic agents
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment documentation
- Participate in emergency on-call rotation to provide after-hours dental care
- Contribute to dental health education initiatives and community oral health programs
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Utilize dental technology including air turbine handpieces, digital imaging, and practice management software
Required Qualifications- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Active, unrestricted dental license in the State of Texas
- Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced, patient-centered dental environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build strong patient relationships
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (Athena Health or similar systems)
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications
- Professional demeanor with commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in community health or underserved population dentistry
- Fluent in Spanish and English
