As a Dental Provider with NVIH you will work with the latest technology in providing top notch care to our patient base, along side our skilled clinic teams. We pride ourselves on operating professional clinics while still maintaining that family practice feel.

Essential functions:
  • Provide dental services to patients, ensuring appropriate quality and quantity goals are met.
  • Keep current with new techniques relating to all aspects of the dental field and related areas.
  • Maintain clear channels of communication with all staff and function as a team member within the back-office clinic setting as well as with the dental department as a whole.
  • Coordinate, lead and guide, and coach dental assisting staff during and after patient care; participate in the annual review and update of the Dental Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Participate in the development and proposal of new dental policy with Dental Director.
  • Keep the Lead Dentist and Lead RDA abreast of current activities and situations within the Dental Department.
  • Actively attend Northern Valley Indian Health, Inc. clinic staff meetings.

Experience and Skills
  • Current California State license to practice dentistry.
  • Current DEA Controlled Substance registration.
  • Two (2) years' experience in private practice or clinical practice, preferred.
  • California Radiation Safety certificate.
  • Perform quality dental services per NVIH standards.
  • Ability to effectively function and participate within a team environment
  • Exhibit empathy and customer service to diffuse and manage conflict within the team and with patients or their representatives.
  • Ability to engage in problem solving and effectively communicate solution-based feedback.
  • Reliable transportation.
