Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Review patients' medical and dental history
- Take high-quality X-rays; train to become proficient in high-resolution digital imaging
- Educate patients on oral health, oral hygiene, and oral-systemic connections
- Document existing restorations, identify areas of concern, and co-diagnose to educate patients
- Administer prophylactic and periodontal scaling, plus delivery of antimicrobial agents
- Conduct oral cancer, saliva, and caries risk screenings, and recommend treatments/therapies
- Train to become proficient in digital scanning, leading-edge diagnostics, and periodontal therapies/technologies
- Collaborate with a team of medical and dental providers to support the best possible patient outcomes
- Educate patients on treatment plans, insurance, and payment collection
- Partner with the business team on hygiene schedule management and accountability
- Keep a positive rapport with patients and team members

Qualifications
What You'll Need:
- Active Maryland Dental Hygienist license (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Willingness to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training
- Great communication skills and solid knowledge of dental health for patient education
- Eagerness to learn new therapy treatments through hands-on training at the practice
