Full Job Description
Responsible for the effective overall regulatory management of the Nursing department and coordination with other disciplines to provide quality care and services to all residents.

Essential Functions:
• Works closely with Executive Director or to support the clinical compliance alignment within the community with that of Maryland Regulations
• Performs pre-admission assessments according to regulatory and company policy to include Full Comprehensive Assessment, Maryland RAT (Resident Assessment Tool), Resident Needs Assessment, Resident Safe Smoking and BIMS and develop the initial service plan of care. Meet with the family to recap the outcomes as needed. Performs initial and 45 day's assessments on-site in compliance with State regulations. Initiates the initial service plan and reviews updates as indicated.
• On call is required
• Appropriate delegating of nursing tasks and notifying OHCQ when appropriate.
• Completes and oversees the competency assessment an ongoing education of staff involved in mediation administration to ensure compliance with Maryland Board of Nursing regulations.
• The Delegating Nurse will be responsible to complete a review for the ability to safely self-administer medications with or without assistance, no less than quarterly.
• Participates in the on-site 6-month review with the Executive Director and as needed.
• Develops, reviews and updates the resident's service plan on care in collaboration with the Director of Health and Wellness, Executive Director, Resident and Family to ensure the appropriate level of care and compliance with Maryland state regulations.
• Provides clinical oversight to ensure regulatory compliance as directed by the State of Maryland and the Delegating Nurse requirements.
• Participates in required community meetings such as daily stand up, weekly At Risk and monthly Quality Assurance meetings and others as required or directed by the Executive Director.
• When nursing or clinical orders are failed to be met and without identifying alternatives to the care or service order, the delegating nurse shall notify the resident's physician, the OHCQ, and the resident, or if applicable, the legal representative of the resident.
• Conducts regular audits (including medication cart audits) and collaborates with the Director of Health & Wellness to address compliance issues.
• Respect for Residents, their Families, and Each Other: Ensures all interactions with Residents, Family Members and Colleagues are in a caring manner. Demonstrates fairness, empathy and compassion in actions and communications with others.
• Ensure appropriate level of care is being delivered to residents through completion of regular assessments and direct observation.
• Responsible for the development of and compliance with resident safety and confidentiality standards according to HIPAA guidelines

The pay range for this role is:

115,000 - 125,000 USD per year (LSL, Hopkins Creek)
