Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a skilled Systems Engineer (SE) to support the Defense Special Missile and Aerospace Center (DEFSMAC) program. DEFSMAC requires a Senior Systems Engineer to provide expert technical guidance and drive requirements gathering for a high-availability geo-visualization platform.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with government Program Directors, power users and cross-functional teams to understand operational needs, define system specifications, and recommend scalable, reliable solutions. Key responsibilities include analyzing current geo-visualization capabilities, understanding technical architecture, evaluating current application limitations, and ensuring future designs align with performance, availability, and security standards.

This Senior Systems Engineer position requires a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and writing skills, deep systems engineering expertise, and experience in mission-critical, real-time geospatial applications. #AJCM

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience, OR
    • Master's degree or PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience, OR
    • High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
