Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talentedDefense and Security Facilities Directorate Finance Lead to join our team! In this role, you will report to the IS Sector Finance Lead and partners heavily with the IS team, including Senior VPs, VPs, Sector Finance Manager of IS, other Directorate and Sector Finance/ Project Control Leads, Program Managers, and others from the Operations Team.
What You'll Be Doing:Market Financial Leadership- Serve as the primary Finance partner to the Sr.VP/Market Lead, Defense & Security Facilities (D&SF), providing insight, challenge, and support on all financial matters.
- Lead development and consolidation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plan for the D&SF portfolio.
- Monitor and report on revenue, margin, indirects, and cash performance versus plan; recommend actions to close gaps or capitalize on upside.
- Support market strategy and portfolio shaping decisions (e.g., where to grow, where to improve margins, and where to exit).
Project & Portfolio Performance (with Project Controls)- Work closely with Project Controls staff assigned to D&SF to ensure:
- Project-level EACs, schedules, and risk assessments roll up accurately into market financial forecasts.
- Major project deviations (cost/schedule) are understood, quantified, and reflected in forecasts and reported results.
- Review and challenge project-level forecasts, contingencies, and write-ups/downs; ensure consistency with corporate financial policies.
- Support Market VP in portfolio reviews, helping prioritize actions on underperforming projects and high-value opportunities.
Business Partnering & Decision Support- Provide financial analysis for bids, proposals, and change orders in the D&SF market, including pricing, margin, and risk scenarios.
- Support investment decisions (e.g., key hires, capability builds) with financial cases and return-on-investment analysis.
- Prepare and present clear, concise financial insights and recommendations to Market leadership and Infrastructure Solutions Finance.
Governance, Compliance & Reporting- Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies, revenue recognition rules, and financial controls in coordination with Infrastructure Solutions Finance.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly close activities for [Market Name] with Finance, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Support internal and external audits as required, providing documentation and explanations for D&SF financials.
Oversight of Project Controls Interface- Act as the primary Finance point of contact for Project Controls on the D&SF portfolio.
- Ensure alignment between project controls methodologies (cost/schedule/EV) and financial reporting requirements.
- Help prioritize Project Controls focus on projects with the greatest financial risk or opportunity.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Project Controls staff on how their data and forecasts impact financial outcomes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Project Finance, preferably supporting engineering and construction or complex project environments.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with operations/market leaders to drive financial performance.
- Strong understanding of project-based businesses (revenue recognition, EACs, change orders, margin analysis).
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, coordinating with both sector Finance (Infrastructure Solutions Finance) and market leadership.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to project sites to support our customers and facilities.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:- Prior collaboration with Project Controls teams (cost/schedule/EV).
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar) or MBA.

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
