The Business Systems Analyst & Project Specialist (hereafter, the incumbent) is a skilled and adaptable business and systems analysis, and project management professional. The incumbent's primary responsibilities include technical project management, and process improvement for the Investment team. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of multiple, complex, and varying technology projects, gathering and documenting requirements for complex new systems or system enhancements, interviewing business process owners, and analyzing existing processes and making recommendations.

Essential Job Duties:

Project Management:
  • Develop work plans, project budget costs, estimate staffing needs, coordinate team assignments, report to senior management, resolve day-to-day issues, and ensure deliverables are completed with quality and in a timely manner.
  • Work with senior Technology Services and Investment leadership to prioritize initiatives.
  • Proactively communicate status, identify and manage issues/risks, and present to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other VRS teams to identify and resolve/mitigate cross team dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Special projects at the direction of the Decision Systems Manager - IDS.


Business and Systems Analysis:
  • Develop innovative strategies for meeting business requirements, including leveraging the capabilities of existing technology tools or acquiring/developing new technology tools.
  • Work effectively with business owners and other technology staff to ensure business objectives are understood.
  • Independently and proactively lead efforts to identify opportunities to leverage technology to enable business success.
  • Facilitate design activities to help ensure an appropriate focus on successful implementation of business designs.
  • Perform assessments, make sound recommendations, and present findings to ensure VRS is procuring or building the most effective value add solutions.
  • Create Total Cost of Ownership analysis for procurement and build decisions.
  • Recommend enhancements to technical standards, policies, and practices.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Experience in Project Management and Business Systems analysis, including improving business and technical processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience writing technical documentation (requirements, process maps, etc.).
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail to help solve problems and make decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or related certifications, preferred.
  • PMP or related project management certification, preferred.
  • Investment/financial market industry experience preferred.

  • This position follows the hybrid work model, currently requiring three days on-site and two days remote; the selected candidate must be able to work in the office any day of the week, as required by the manager.


Hiring Range:
$130,343 - $142,000
