Partners with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to design and deliver solutions that improve clinical trial quality, oversight, and risk management across R&D portfolios. This role sits at the intersection of Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM), clinical operations strategy, and advanced analytics, helping clients transform how they identify, monitor, and mitigate risk across large-scale trial portfolios.
What You'll Do
• Support development and execution of RBQM strategies, including identification of critical-to-quality (CtQ) factors, key risk indicators (KRIs), and mitigation approaches across clinical trial programs
• Apply structured problem-solving and analytics to help clients improve trial oversight, quality management, and portfolio-level risk visibility
• Design and execute custom analyses using Python (for data processing, automation, and algorithm implementation), R, SAS, Tableau, and Excel to generate risk insights and decision-support outputs
• Translate complex clinical trial and operational data into actionable risk signals, quality insights, and executive-ready recommendations
• Support development of centralized monitoring approaches and digital platforms that enable scalable oversight across hundreds of clinical trials
• Partner with clients to define analytical approaches that support trial governance, inspection readiness, and regulatory-aligned quality systems
• Synthesize findings into structured deliverables and present insights to client stakeholders and ZS leadership teams
• Serve as a key point of contact for assigned workstreams, including status updates, risk tracking, and issue escalation/mitigation
• Contribute to solution implementation and enhancement of ZS RBQM and analytics capabilities across engagements
• Mentor Associates and support capability building in RBQM, clinical quality, and analytics-driven decision-making
What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., life sciences, engineering, statistics, economics, mathematics, or related disciplines)
• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, prior consulting/client facing experience required.
• Strong exposure to clinical development, clinical operations, or healthcare analytics, ideally within pharmaceutical or biotech environments
• Familiarity with or interest in Quality Risk Management and RBQM principles, including risk-based oversight, trial monitoring, or quality frameworks
• Experience working with data using tools such as Python, SQL, R, Tableau, SAS, or similar, with ability to structure and interpret complex datasets
• Strong understanding of how to translate data into risk insights, operational recommendations, and decision support
• Ability to think strategically about clinical trial portfolios, scalability of oversight, and system-level risk management
• Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex analytical outputs for client stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset and awareness of regulatory expectations
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple client deliverables in a fast-paced environment
